Coastal Elegance: Timeless Neutrals for a Windswept Day
Outfit details:
Trench coat, jumper, trousers, bag, ankle boots
As a norfolk girl, I love the beauty of the beach. I associate coastal imagery closely with the mushroom style root - which I really ought to have named water! In another reality, that’s what it’s called. I echoed the sand with cool shades of taupe, stone and off-white to create a semi-monochromatic look
CLASSIC TRENCH
When I first found this Tommy trench I was absolutely in love - it was one I had seen in a long time which wasn’t ridiculously oversized. This is perfect for a more balanced, neat look
OFF-WHITE TROUSERS
I love my linen trousers in the summer and for a long time I searched for a winter alternative. This pair from mango has a slightly thicker texture and is a perfect light-coloured trouser for the bottom half of my looks in the colder months
COSY JUMPER
This Uniqlo jumper has stood the test of time in my wardrobe - my version has a 3/4 sleeve and it looks like the updated version has a full sleeve but its the knitted texture which makes this cardigan a staple in my wardrobe
SAND ANKLE BOOTS
As a summer, I really struggle with finding neutral shoes which are right. I’ve tried chocolate brown, grey, sand, various shades of taupe and stone. These ones from dune are a really great sand shade which do lean on the warmer side and would also be appropriate for a soft autumn or even light spring as well as soft/light summer.
