My vision
I help women build a recognisable personal brand through their image. At Body & Style, we find our style by finding ourselves.
My goal is to show as many women as possible that what makes them unique makes them memorable. You are special, you just donβt know how to communicate that yet.
I aim to lift women up and show them their potential. I work with ambitious, intelligent, curious clients who want to know how to convey the best of themselves. I can show them how to do that.
My goals arenβt small - Iβm an ambitious person. I am always finding new ways to innovate in my work and improve the methods I discover. I love to deep dive into a topic, rip it apart and find a better way to put it back together.
I have created Body & Style to be a hub for women who want to elevate to the dream version of themselves.
My work
I use a combination of style theories to help women identify and enhance their unique features. I have developed my own systems including The Body Matrix and Style Roots.
My focus on personal style curation is part of a larger project: to help women define and build their personal brand, whether itβs crafting a career vision, creating a visual identity or simply becoming that woman.

My system to define your personal style.
There are 8 core roots to personal style, and the style roots system helps you to focus on three to clarify and define your wardrobe. Each style root corresponds to a personality type as well as a style vision.
β°οΈ Mountain: formal, professional, sophisticated
π Mushroom: minimal, simple, classic
πΈ Flower: delicate, sweet, girlish
π₯ Fire: sensual, womanly, glamorous
πͺ¨ Stone: casual, sporty, utilitarian
π± Earth: bohemian, rustic, natural
π Moon: edgy, gothic, dark
βοΈ Sun: playful, creative, fun

I developed my body type system as I found gaps in other theories. I realised there are 27 unique body types based on width, length and shape.
As such, you might be narrow + short + round or wide + long + straight or medium + medium + medium, for example.
Each body type feature is echoed in your clothing. The idea is that you reflect your features in your outfits to create a harmonious picture which doesnβt fight your natural features.
-
My perspective on essences is influenced by various image consultants such as Kitchener, Kibbe, McJimsey and Truth is Beauty without conforming exactly to a single one.
My work on the body matrix convinced me that essence should be separated from the body and focused on the facial features. It is your facial make up which most strongly influences the βvibeβ you create with your features.
I focus on three main essences for each individual - thatβs not to say you actually only have three, but that you should focus on your main three to create a cohesive wardrobe which echoes your features.
πͺ» Dramatic: powerful, regal, striking
π» Natural: grounded, down-to-earth, modelesque, modern
πͺ· Gamine: cheeky, pixie-like, boyish
πΌ Classic: refined, elegant, balanced
πΈ Ingenue: sweet, cute, girlish
πΉ Romantic: womanly, sensual, lush
π· Ethereal: angelic, otherworldly, innocent

So many women try to stuff themselves into the box of one type, but I believe that personal style comes from what you chose to include and reject.
My methods such as βrefine, focus, followβ make combining different style systems easy.
I understand that curating your personal style is not an overnight hack but an ongoing process.
-
Personal style is a big part of what I do, but it is part of a larger aim to help women to embody and express their best selves.
Some of the things I focus on include
expanding your visual brand beyond your personal style
crafting a career vision
building a visual identity
goal setting and development
finding your strengths and unique edge
building a signature presence

My content
Since 2021, I have been sharing my own style journey as I curate my wardrobe to feel elevated, elegant and whimsical. Sharing with my audience is my favourite part of transitioning through different phases of my life and learning more about my personal style.
I have built a combined audience of over 1 million followers across YouTube, Substack, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. My content focuses onβ¦
teaching my favourite style theories: whether it be case studies from volunteers in my audience or sharing my own outfits, this is the foundation of my content
celebrity outfit analysis: I explore how clothing and style is the backbone of a personal brand.
TV and film costume analysis: I am fascinated by how costume creates character and personality.
personal branding: I share tips on creating a visual identity and becoming a recognisable presence.
A little about meβ¦
I became obsessed with style systems in summer 2021 and quickly launched my business Body & Style. My work as a style consultant, writer and content creator drives everything I do, and is my great passion.
I am a graduate in Comparative Literature from UCL, a global top 10 university. My degree allowed me to explore my love of reading, academia and writing, and my experience here influences my work every day.
I live in Norfolk, UK with my husband, which has determined my love of the English countryside, the beauty of nature and quaint, eccentric interiors. My work supports my main focus: building a family life full of love, fun and adventure. My mum and I work together, which can be a little dangerous as we are best friends, so we end up having lots of coffee and cake meetings! I am always learning something new, exploring hobbies like scrapbooking or journalling, and working on crafting my dream life.
