Fire | the sensual, glamorous style root: GUIDE

The Fire Style Root is the luxurious source of inspiration in your style. Fires are often enticing, passionate and opulent. This is my guide for if you might be a fire and how to dress for your new style root

Personality

Although style roots are primarily aesthetic, and it is okay to simply be drawn visually to one of the style roots, usually the style roots will correspond with personality. The Fire is likely to have some of the following characteristics:

  • alluring

  • powerful

  • sultry

  • enticing

  • passionate

  • provocative

  • fiery

  • commanding

  • romantic

Lifestyle

What you like in clothing will often correlate with what you like in other spheres of life, whether it be interior design or simply the activities you do.

Those with the Fire style root might enjoy the following activities:

  • sipping martinis

  • driving a sports car with the top down

  • sunbathing by the pool of a villa

  • dancing in a club

  • eating strawberries with champagne

  • getting a massage at a spa

  • swimming in the ocean of a tropical country

  • wandering around an art gallery

  • stargazing from a rooftop bar

How to Style

The fire style root can be described as…

  • glamorous

  • lush

  • royal

  • sensual

  • luxurious

  • lavish

  • rich

  • royal

You don’t have to include ALL of the following elements in an outfit to create the Fire effect, but one to three details will help to create this impression. There are also lots of other elements I could include, but I think this is a good starting point!

Sparkle

Glitter is the easiest way to convey glamour. A little bit of sparkle says I am expensive, I am luxurious, I am worth all your eyes’ attention.

Fur

Fur (or faux fur) is associated with luxury. Pelts are often worn by glamorous characters (think Cruella!) as they once represented a comfort only afforded by the few. They have a lush sensuality.

Animal print

Animal print is assocated with danger and excitement. There is a risk to the sensual and the provocative that cheetah, snake or leopard print can represent.

Figure-hugging silhouettes

Women who have fire tend to be (or want to be) deeply connected to their body. They often enjoy enhancing their figure in their outfits.

Jewel tones

The rich colours of jewel tones are associated with royalty. The power of the traditional royal aesthetic is the other side of the coin to the traditionally sexy styles that fire is associated with.

The fire style root adds glamour, sensuality and a luxurious feel to any outfit. Do you think you are a Fire? Leave me a comment below!

Across the Seasons

It is quite easy to picture what fire might look like in summer and winter, but what about in the other months? Your style root should stay with you across all four seasons, but it can be tempting to lean on a different root when you can’t visualise how your REAL style root might look.
